I have been filling my days with teaching a lot of yoga, here and there and every where I can. Something they do not tell you when you do yoga teacher training is that you will be running around town getting from class to class. One of the most important things you need to practice as a yoga teacher is self care.
After a long busy day of teaching, there is nothing like a tall glass of sweet creamy decadence. This vegan cashew hemp milk, is the perfect fix for that craving if you are looking for a little less guilty pleasure. Melts in your mouth and finishes your day with delight. Also very delicious in your morning cup of coffee or tea.
Warning: Highly addictive
Ingredients:
2/3 cup cashews (preferably soaked for minimum two hours and drained)
3 tablespoons shelled hemp seeds
3 1/2 – 4 cups cold water
4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (for vegan, use maple syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour over ice and enjoy.
2. Can be stored in your refrigerator for 2-3 days. May need to blend again or shake to mix up any settling.
